Clean oil in the lubricating oil system
Lubrication oil is filtered from the aspirated crude air by a mechanical process called the coalescence effect and then led back into the lube oil tank. This is an economical and environmentally-friendly process. Lubrication oil which is selected optimally for a certain type of turbine due to its additives has to constantly remain of a high quality and fulfil these certain criteria e.g.:
- Corrosion protection
- Aging protection
- Foaming reduction
- Certain viscosity index
- Wear and friction reduction
